Sandboarding

So...I am finally going sandboarding!! This picture is of the Imperial Dunes in Yuma, AZ!

We are going on May 13th, but because it is so freaking hot already we have to leave at oh-God-o'clock! We are heading out at 2am to be there at 5 to board till about 10. Then heading back to Phoenix!!

Decisions decisions...

So...

I am going back to school for programming and I want a laptop again (I sold mine cuz I needed money!), so I am going to get a student loan and get one.

That is where the decision comes in...

Do I want to get a MacBook with more power and more storage, or do I want to get a MacBook Air with its ridiculous size, but less power and storage. I am leaning towards the Air, but the MacBook treated me very well when I had it!

Dammit!

That is the date that Cloverfield (the new movie from JJ Abrams...who I absolutely adore due to Lost and Alias!!) comes out...and I will be there to see it!!! :D

A ton has changed...

So...there is so much that has changed that I am not sure I can actually type it all out!

• I moved out of Neyl's and I am living with Tamea
• I had to trade in the Jeep and got a Honda Fit because the gas was too expensive
• Dad and Jane are no longer together

I am working on my VW! I have replaced the carburetor, fuel pump, air cleaner, distributor, center intake manifold, exhaust and all kinds of interior stuff! And it is almost running well!!

"Pop Goes The Peaceful People"...

I just watched the Monterey 40 documentary on VH1 about the Monterey Pop music festival (This year is the 40th anniversary. In fact, today, June 17th is the anniversary of the 2nd day of the fesival!). The title of my blog is the title of a news article about the festival. That festival is 40 freaking years old! And it was so amazing!! It brought us Janis Joplin and Jimi Hendrix and a slew of other artists! As much as I love music today and music festivals that we have now, there is nothing like Monterey or the original Woodstock!

On another 1960s note...I finally got my VW Beetle (fun angle shot of the dash) I am of course keeping my Jeep, but now I have a daily driver that is amazing!! It is a 1964 clementine orange Beetle with the wooden roof rack!

The Zelda bike is working again!

I finally pulled my bike out of the garage and got it up and running again. I was getting a horrible screeching noise out of it at higher RPMs and cured that with duct tape. I got my tires pumped up and everything cleaned up and took it for a nice little 45 minute ride this afternoon down Pecos Rd. It was perfect too. The weather was in the 80s and sunny.


Then, to make my day a little more productive, I super cleaned the garage, put my inversion table together and organized my G5 and am working on importing all my music and organizing my iTunes library!



On that note, a few more CDs and I am going to sleep! Oh, and there is a new page with all my music CDs on. It is here.
